Production process flow of galvanized pipe joints

1、Raw material inspection

Strictly inspect the purchased galvanized pipes and other raw materials(such as seals,connectors,etc.).Check whether the specifications and wall thickness of the galvanized pipe meet the design requirements,and check the uniformity and thickness of the galvanized layer.A thickness gauge can be used for measurement.

Verify the quality certification documents of raw materials,including material reports,inspection reports,etc.,to ensure that the quality of raw materials is qualified.Unqualified raw materials shall be resolutely returned and strictly prohibited from being put into production.

2、Cutting and cutting materials

According to the size requirements of the pipe joint,select suitable cutting equipment such as metal circular saw machine,toothless saw,etc.Adjust the equipment parameters and set the cutting length.

Fix the galvanized pipe onto the cutting equipment and start the equipment for cutting.During the cutting process,it is necessary to ensure that the cutting surface is flat,without obvious burrs or slanted edges.After cutting,use a polishing tool to lightly polish the cutting surface and remove burrs.

Perform dimensional inspection on the cut pipe sections to ensure that the length tolerance is controlled within the specified range(generally±0.5mm).

3、Welding forming(if there is a welding process)

For the pipe joint components that need to be welded,the preparation work before welding should be carried out first.Clean the welding area of oil stains,rust,and other impurities to expose the metallic luster.

Select appropriate welding methods based on the material and thickness of galvanized pipes,such as manual arc welding,carbon dioxide gas shielded welding,etc.,and choose matching welding materials.

Adjust welding equipment parameters,such as welding current,voltage,welding speed,etc.Conduct trial welding,check the welding quality,and ensure that the weld seam is well formed without defects such as pores,cracks,slag inclusions,etc.

During formal welding,strictly follow the welding process specifications to ensure welding quality.After welding is completed,the weld seam should be visually inspected and non-destructive testing(such as ultrasonic testing,radiographic testing,etc.)should be performed if necessary.

4、Thread processing

Clamp the cut or welded pipe sections onto threading equipment such as lathes and threading machines.

Select appropriate threading tools and machining parameters based on the thread specifications of the pipe joint.

Start the equipment for thread machining,and pay attention to the accuracy of thread depth,pitch,and profile angle during the machining process.

After processing,use a thread gauge to inspect the threads to ensure they meet the standard requirements.For unqualified threads,rework should be carried out in a timely manner.

5、Assembly

Clean the processed pipe joint components(such as the body,seals,connectors,etc.)to remove surface oil stains,iron filings,and other impurities.

Assemble each component according to the assembly drawing and process requirements.During the assembly process,attention should be paid to the installation position and direction of the seals to ensure good sealing performance.

Use appropriate tools(such as wrenches,pliers,etc.)to tighten the connectors according to the specified torque value,ensuring the firmness of the assembly.

6、Quality inspection

Appearance inspection:Check the appearance of the pipe joint,which should be smooth and free of obvious scratches,dents,deformations,and other defects.The galvanized layer should be uniform,without peeling,blistering,or other phenomena.

Dimensional inspection:Use measuring tools(such as calipers,micrometers,etc.)to measure the key dimensions of pipe joints,ensuring that the dimensions meet the design requirements.

Sealing performance test:The sealing performance of the assembled pipe joints can be tested by water pressure test or air pressure test.The test pressure is determined according to the usage requirements of the pipe joint,and the pressure is maintained for a certain period of time(usually 3-5 minutes)to check for any leakage.

Identify and isolate products that fail inspection,analyze the reasons,and carry out rework or scrapping.

7、Packaging and storage

Clean the galvanized pipe joints that have passed inspection to remove dust and debris from the surface.

Select appropriate packaging materials(such as plastic bags,paper boxes,wooden boxes,etc.)for packaging based on the characteristics of the product and customer requirements.Indicate product name,specifications,quantity,production date,manufacturer and other information on the packaging.

Transport the packaged products to the warehouse,store them in the designated area and manner,and take measures to prevent moisture and rust.
